Two day event facing traffic delays on Long Island

The Ryder Cup is all set for a two-day event on Long Island. The dates are September 26-28 at the Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale. Over 50,000 people are expected to attend, which is twice the audience of the US Open.

Both NCPD and SCPD will be working on a joint venture on traffic control. Some of the tickets are going for easily $750 to $1,000 to see the US team attempt to reclaim the Ryder Cup from Europe. Friday and Saturday will have foursome matches in the morning and fourball matches in the afternoon. Then on Sunday will have 12 singles matches to conclude the event.

The LIE, Wantagh State Parkway, and Northern State Parkway will be facing delays. Also, President Trump will be in attendance, so ticket holders are advised to arrive early for seating. The PGA is reminding all the Hollywood actors, VIPs and others to follow protocols by security same as the US Open had when President Trump was present.
