Traffic stop leads to drug seizure and Felony arrest in orange county

On Friday, April 18, 2025, at approximately 9:58 p.m., a New York State Trooper from SP Newburgh conducted a traffic stop on a 2020 Honda Civic traveling northbound on Interstate 87 in the Town of Tuxedo for violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

During the course of the stop, Troopers identified the operator as Javon M. Alleyne, age 30, of Irving, New Jersey. While speaking with Alleyne, Troopers developed probable cause to search the vehicle. The subsequent search resulted in the seizure of approximately 45 grams of crack cocaine, 6 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of Xanax, and a quantity of Suboxone films.

Alleyne was taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree – Narcotic Drug (Class B Felony)

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree – Intent to Sell (Class B Felony)

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (2 counts – Class A Misdemeanor)

Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor)

Alleyne was arraigned in the Town of Woodbury Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail.

This investigation remains ongoing.
