Today is Thursday for drivers to be aware in NYC

Hey, NY needs money to waste from taxpayers.

The NYC Dept of Transportation continues with the ambition to add more speed cameras as usual every Thursdays in NYC.

This came after the NY Governor signed the renewal program to extend to July 1, 2030.

Using school zones as an excuse, there are many locations angering local residents why the need for it while others praise it will slow down reckless drivers.

The biggest boost in Queens will go to Hillside Avenue from Queens Blvd to Langdale Street, the border of Nassau County.

The former Mayor de Blasio who implemented the red light, speed camera and bus lane camera violations in NYC has endorsed Zohran Mamdani who wants to expand the enforcements all over NYC which can generate additional $3 billion for the city to enjoy.

NYC has the largest speed camera program nationwide and pedestrian fatalities rose to 119 in 2024, an 18% increase from 101 in 2023. In 2023, the city generated $222 million from the enforcement.

Now now now, coming soon to NYC are cameras for double parking, alternate side parking and sanitation trucks equipped to enforce vehicles that's still parked on the sidewalk during cleanup days.

Raising revenue claiming it’s for safety. Ok.
