Three charges vs one in the NYC subway

Ok Tuesday at 9:15pm, a homeless male, black was attempting to rob a female victim at the 49th Street N, R and W subway station in Manhattan. A bystander, white, male, Queens resident was heading home from work and got involved by helping the victim. A scuffle broke out. Then bullets fired in the air and all went hiding.

No one was injured.

Today, the male, white surrendered to the police with his gun and was taken into custody.

He is being charged with criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment and menacing. The homeless male was charged with attempted robbery.

The victim demands the male, white, to be released without charges for helping her and keep the homeless man in jail.

Here is the MTA President's statement, “I want to be clear: we don’t tolerate this kind of conduct in NYC Transit, period. Once again cameras recorded a perpetrator, and we are grateful the NYPD made an arrest within hours. Thank goodness nobody was hurt here—but what occurred was outrageous, reckless, and unacceptable.”
