Teen drowns in backyard pool in Dix Hills

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the drowning death of a teen that occurred at a Dix Hills home. Second Precinct officers responded to 4 Lansdowne Lane at approximately 8:20 p.m. on June 6 after Abdul Brezault, 18, was found unresponsive in the backyard pool. Brezault, who lives in Canada and was at the home for a family gathering, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead.
