Suspect wanted for attempted robbery in Jackson Heights

Police reported attempted robbery on Monday, February 5 around 8pm inside apartment building on 76th Street and 35th Avenue in Jackson Heights. The suspect, male, Hispanic, 50's, 200lbs followed a 39 year old female victim to the lobby of the building and tried to take her purse. The woman fought back and screamed once outside. A witness arrived to the scene and the perp took off. The woman was treated for minor injuries. Ongoing investigation.
