Suspect photo released after Queens woman was slashed in Brooklyn

Police released the photo of a suspect wanted for slashing a 31 year old Queens woman who was on her way to a volunteer job in Brooklyn. The incident happened on February 3 around 7:45am at the intersection of White Street and Boerum Street in Williamsburgh when a man was making advances toward the female victim including stating he wants to marry her.

The woman rejected and moved away.

That's when the victim was slashed across the face leaving a permananet scar with 44 stitches. The suspect also robbed the victim with her phone, backpacks and wallet containing cash.

Police described the suspect as male, Hispanic in his 40's. Ongoing investigation.
