Suspect arrested for hit and run in Forest Hills

NYPD reported one suspect is in custody after investigation resulting the death of a 29 year old from hit and run in Forest Hills.

The incident happened on November 11 in the evening around 5:30pm at Continental Avenue and Exter Avenue in Forest Hills.

The victim identified as Nikias Ahern, 29 of Tribeca. The suspect identified as Irving Duran, 28 of Ridgewood.

He was charged with leaving the scene of car accident resulting in death. He said he thought he hit a tree and took off. He faces 7 years if convicted.
