Stolen autos to rape continue to increase in NYC

As of January 2025, rape is up for January 2025 by 40% according to the NYPD crime stats which is increasing on constant basis especially Brooklyn. The next one is stolen autos and the number one location that's reported the most is Bellerose. More than 40 residents living in Bellerose reported stolen vehicles since January 1, 2025.

The third is grand larceny most involving property crimes including people followed by robberies.

The drive by robberies continue to spike in Queens after midnight until early morning.

As for moped robberies, Roosevelt Avenue can't get a break. According to police, most of the victims refuse to cooperate leaving the investigation incomplete.

Despite locals' pleas, the NYC Mayor continues to say the city is safe and the focus is on the housing crisis during a community forum in Sunnyside this afternoon.

Most of the people came to see the Mayor and for free snacks at the Older Adult Town Halls.
