State Police investigating arson in oswego county

On September 21, 2025, at approximately 1:51 p.m., State Police responded to a reported structure fire at 2701 State Route 3 in the town of Volney, Oswego County.

At this time, no injuries have been reported. Authorities are actively working to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the fire.

A witness observed a dark-colored vehicle leaving the area around the time of the incident. Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area, or who may have information relevant to the case, to contact State Police at 315-366-6000 and refer to case number NY2500915303.

This remains an ongoing investigation.
