State Police arrest three men following violent robbery investigation

On May 23, 2026, State Police arrested Braedon M. Loveday, 19, of Middle Grove, NY

On July 3, 2026, State Police arrested an 18-year-old

On July 8, 2026, State Police arrested Timothy Wilbur, 34 of Middle Grove, NY

Each have been charged with:

Robbery 1st, a class “B” felony

Gang Assault 2nd, a class “C” felony

Assault 2nd, a class “D” felony

On May 19, 2026, at about 10:50 p.m., troopers responded to a residence on Maple Avenue in Ballston Spa for the report of a robbery with the victim seriously injured in the area of their home. The investigation determined Loveday, Wilbur and the 18-year-old reportedly participated in assaulting the victim. During the assault Loveday allegedly struck the victim multiple times with a baseball bat until they were unconscious before taking the victim's cellphone and cash. Loveday, Wilbur and the 18-year-old fled the scene in a vehicle before law enforcement's arrival.
