State Police arrest man for felony drug possession following Albany traffic stop

On May 19, 2025, State Police assigned to the Troop G Community Stabilization Unit arrested Tyshaun J. Driver, 36 of Brooklyn, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the first degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

On May 19, 2025, at about 3:31 p.m. Troopers stopped a vehicle on I-87 Thruway in Albany, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Driver. Further investigation discovered a vacuum sealed bag containing approximately 1 pound of a powder substance that field tested positive for Cocaine.
