State Police arrest West Islip man following investigation into inappropriate communication with a child

On September 17, 2025, State Police of Saratoga arrested Michael J. Negrillo, 30 of West Islip, NY on a warrant for Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the first degree, Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

On April 25, 2025, Troopers received information that an adult man was having inappropriate communications with a child under the age of 17 while the victim was in Saratoga County, NY. The investigation determined Negrillo reportedly initiated communication with the child on a social media platform. During their communications, Negrillo allegedly sent the child indecent material of himself and received indecent material of the child.
