Comatose NYC boy shot in head at Dunkin Donuts is being taken off life support

The 13-year-old boy left in a coma after he was shot in the head in the parking lot of a Queens Dunkin' Donuts. Still, no arrests have been made in his killing. The NYPD says they got a call about the shooting in front of the donut shop on Linden Boulevard in Cambria Heights around 8:30 a.m.

Samuel was taken to a hospital in critical condition, and after a few hours, the family said they were told he was brain-dead. Officials have not released descriptions of potential suspects at this time. A backpack believed to belong to the shooter was recovered at the scene, which is located near three schools. Police have not said whether Samuel was headed to class at the time he was shot.

The location is the same where a photo of a boy in a cap and gown hangs on a street pole. Neighbors said it's there to honor 13-year-old Kevin Miller, who was shot and killed on his way to school in 2009.
