State Police arrest Schenectady man following rape investigation

On May 26, 2025, State Police of Princetown arrested Brian S. Regels, 25 of Schenectady, NY for two counts of Rape in the first degree, a class “B” felony, and Incest in the third degree, a class “E” felony.

On May 26, 2025, at about 12:52 p.m. Troopers received the report of a Rape. The investigation determined on May 23, 2025, Regels allegedly had unwanted sexual intercourse with two victims while at a home in Princetown, NY. The victims at the time of the crime reportedly were incapable of consent and one of the victims was related to Regels.

Regels was arrested in Princetown, NY with the assistance of the Schenectady County Sheriff’s Office. He was transported to SP Princetown where he was processed and then transported to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
