State Police arrest Mayfield man for possessing child exploitation material

On June 26, 2026, State Police, with the assistance of the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, arrested Christopher R. Lanfare, 43, of Mayfield, NY, for Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “E” felony.

On June 21, 2026, troopers received information that an individual was in possession of child exploitation material. The investigation determined Lanfare allegedly possessed numerous images consistent with child sexual exploitation.

Lanfare was arrested and processed at SP Fonda. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Mayfield Town Court on July 20, 2026, and released.
