State Police arrest Franklin county man for possessing more than 120lbs of Cannabis following Saratoga county traffic stop

On May 2, 2025, State Police assigned to the Troop G Community Stabilization Unit (CSU) arrested William M. Buckshot, 58 of Hogansburg, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the first degree, Criminal Possession of Cannabis in the first degree and Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

On May 2, 2025, at about 1:50 p.m. Troopers stopped a Vehicle on I-87 in Malta, NY for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Buckshot. Further investigation discovered more than 120 pounds of Cannabis and more than a pound of unidentified pills within his vehicle. The pills later field-tested positive for fentanyl.
