Starbucks in Astoria the first in Queens to be unionized

Starbucks workers are on a union organizing spree nationwide. As of today, 100 franchise locations are unionized by votes. For Queens, the first location on Astoria Blvd became a union store after a vote of 11-0. Of 100 unionized locations, less than 10 stores have closed due to economic reasons according to the main company statement.

More Starbucks locations are getting ready for votes to make their locations unionized.
