The NYC tax lien expired today. A moment of silence.

The NYC politicians ranted to set up non-profit groups funded by the city for the Community Land Trusts. This is the same method as adding more homeless shelters by non-profit groups assigned by certain politicians. Thus allowing the city to divert properties to the non-profit groups for more homeless shelters or community centers.

Unfortunately, the certain politicians didn't have much muscle so as not to be confused with macho muscle and will remain with private companies. The private companies are way too much for cheap politicians unable to match the funds.

As usual, the tax lien sale will go as usual. This year is the highest rate with more homes hitting the auction blocks for not paying property taxes. Even worse, multi unit families offer no protections for tenants with the new buyers when they file evictions.

The NY Governor will not interfere in the NYC real estate market. Affordable housing will remain a powerhouse. The NYC Mayor will follow the Governor's decision according to the office.
