So many Queens locals are happy of the new Amazon announcement

Long Island City and Astoria residents along with local elected officials blocked the company Amazon from setting up a headquarters with high paying jobs while back.

Well, today the local residents came to know Amazon announced new multi billion dollar facilities in North Carolina and Pennsylvania which will create over 250,000 jobs. At the same time, economic benefits to both states.

The company is also on expansion mode in Virginia after opening their second headquarters with 15,000 employees which was originally slated for Long Island City and Astoria.

Some of the employees are earning high six figures which does disappoint many Queens residents looking forward to the location.

Oh well!

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the main Congress member promoting socialism, held many rallies to stop Amazon from entering Queens and NYC.

As for NY overall, only one company was allowed and that's in upstate. Micron plans to build in Clay, New York using a $6 billion award from the CHIPS and Science Act to provide 9,000 jobs at Micron, 4,500 construction jobs and 40,000 indirect jobs in New York alone.

As for Queens and NYC, life is the same as before.
