Seven cops busted for prostitution in Queens

The Queens DA's office reported of seven members of NYPD arrested for part of prostitution ring. The arrest took place on Wednesday in Queens. Of seven, three are sergeants, two detectives and two regular cops. The Queens DA's office started the investigation n 2015 when a cop alerted internal affairs of other members of NYPD not reporting prostitution and gambling involving cover-ups. NYPD Commissioner O'Neill stated "Today, those who swore an oath and then betrayed it have felt the consequences of that infidelity, The people of this Department are rightly held to the highest standard, and should they fail to meet it, the penalty will be swift and severe." The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are pending. Another 40 civilians are also arrested as part of the ongoing crime.
