Primary day election shows low turnout

Voters are participating for primary day election and reports show low turnout so far. This election focuses on new faces against old ones. Either way, political candidates are all aiming to win so they can get a paycheck plus perks that comes with the cushy job much more important than voters. Whether they deliver what they promised during campaign is a mystery. For the area, there are three candidates vying for the State Senate seat now occupied by Tony Avella, conservative Democrat. John Liu has been out of politics fr five years after the mayoral loss and he is backed by the Democrat group. Simon Minching is running on Republican ballot who now works as a consulting after returning to Little Neck from Chicago where he worked and studied. Vickie Palladino is also on the ballot whom the NYC mayor can't stand.
