Rescue mission continue after a teen went missing in the waters

The NYPD rescue mission continued to search under the Roosevelt Island Bridge after calls came in from witnesses saying a teen girl jumped into the water.

The incident was reported this afternoon by Rainey Park in Astoria.

The victim, 15, has not been since 12:15pm when the incident occurred.

A backpack has been recovered at the scene.

ESU divers are working on the search.

The investigation continues.
