Repo story like in Jamaica but with shots fired

This morning around 10am, a lone repo man was driving around Jamaica for the next vehicle to tow and tracked down one with a warrant for non-payment. This is on 128th Avenue near 174th Street near Merrick Blvd and Baisley Blvd.

While the vehicle was being lifted, the vehicle owner came out with a gun warning the repo man to put the car down.

This is when multiple shots were fired before and ESU reported one person shot but did not state who was shot.

Then the suspect driver took off on foot toward the local Gwen Ifill Park and barricaded inside.

After lengthy tasks by ESU, the suspect was apprehended and hauled away to the local precinct.

EMS transported the bullet victim to a local hospital.

ESU recovered shell casings.

The area is now covered with police activity.

The investigation continues.
