Quick pickup turned into a disaster in Elmont

Around 3pm on December 25, a driver while leaving the engine running went to pick up his favorite takeout from the local store, and a suspect out of nowhere stole the vehicle. This is on Elmont Road and 116th Road next to Elmont Road Park in Nassau County. The suspect lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a parked vehicle. Then took off on foot.

On December 14 afternoon, a woman while pumping had her vehicle with engine running faced the same fate. Two suspects stole the vehicle and the woman was dragged while trying to stop. The woman fell down shortly after and police found the vehicle nearby except personal belongings.

So far no arrests to both incidents.
