Queens man charged with murder in fatal Beach 19 Street shooting

A 33-year-old Queens man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in Far Rockaway in May, according to the NYPD.

Navaldo Brown, of 634 Grassmere Terrace, was taken into custody Tuesday at 12:50 p.m. within the confines of the 101st Precinct. He faces multiple charges, including murder, attempted murder, and criminal possession of a weapon.

The charges stem from a May 29 shooting that took place around 12:20 a.m. near the corner of New Haven Avenue and Beach 19th Street. Police said a 42-year-old man was walking at the location when he was approached by an individual who fired several gunshots, striking the victim in the torso.
