Quarantine checkpoints announced for Friday and weekends

NYC sheriffs announced locations for quarantine checkpoints for visits to NYC. This is for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They are George Washington Bridge, Goethals Bridge Crossing, Bayonne Bridge, Outer Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel and Holland Tunnel. Not all bridges will be fully active except the Bayonne Bridge on regular basis. Random checking and if those tested positive other than the 35 listed stated must be quarantined or face $10,000 fine each. On Wednesday, 75,000 vehicles passed Staten Island Expressway and 47 were checked randomly. None were positive after results came in for those tested.
Here is how it works -
Out of state travelers will be checked randomly. NYC Sheriff will enforce the random checked to complete NYS Dept of Health traveler form and for those from 35 listed stated must quarantine for 14 days upon entry into the city. Those refusing to fill out the form will be fined $2,000 and $10,000 for violating two weeks quarantine. The sheriff's office vehicles are equipped to read out of state license plates.
