Pursuit in Tupper Lake leads to closing warrant arrest

On April 30, 2025, State Police arrested Aaron M. Brown, age 33, of Whitesboro, NY, on several charges, including:

- Criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree (four counts)

- Unlawful possession of a skimmer device in the second degree (intended use for identity theft)

- Criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree (previous conviction)

- Unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree

- Multiple vehicle and traffic violations

Additionally, Nichole M. Slattery, age 28, of Oneida, NY, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree (two counts).

On April 29, 2025, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Troopers were stationed on Park Street in the village of Tupper Lake when they observed a 2008 Subaru violate a vehicle and traffic law. The Troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle failed to comply, resulting in a pursuit. The chase ended when Brown eventually pulled over. Slattery, who was a passenger in the vehicle, exited and was also taken into custody. Further investigation revealed that Brown had multiple active warrants.

Both Brown and Slattery were transported to State Police in Tupper Lake for processing. Slattery was issued appearance tickets to return to court in Tupper Lake at a later date in May.
