Pursuit from Queens border resulted fatality in NHP

The NCPD and NYPD is on Lakeville Road reporting a pursuit resulted with one dead. From a witness on Hillside Avenue near Little Neck Parkway calls came in after a perp allegedly robbed two victims using an e-bike around 8pm. The NYPD tracked the perp to inside streets near Hillside Avenue and Langdale Street and then to Lakeville Road near Jericho Turnpike when struck a vehicle and died.

However from a witness, the perp was struck by oncoming vehicle on Lakeville Road intersection and died after the impact. The driver was arrested on the scene much to the neighbor’s surprise. Charges are pending.

This Is between Whittier and Lowell Avenues near the local Knight of Columbus in New Hyde Park.

The medical examiner is working to transport the body to conduct an autopsy.

Both NYPD and NCPD are working on the scene. Lakeville Road is closed in both directions.

Chopper is hovering above.

The investigation continues.
