Protest scheduled today in Bayside by local parents

A group of parents are getting ready to protest on 39th Avenue today at 5pm. This is by 215th Street.

The NYPD will be on the scene with for parents safety and will monitor traffic. The organizers stated local elected officials will be attending this event.

Despite opposition from the local residents, the NY Governor's Office did not respond to this protest and one staff member said it's a community board matter. However, the Governor does have the act to enforce if a large group comes forward and the same Bayside locals organizing the protest is getting started.

This event is open to the public.
