Police involved shooting in Bayside

The NYPD closed off Northern Blvd by Bell Blvd reporting a suspect armed with a gun was shot by police. This is in front of the local precinct in Bayside.

EMS is working to transport the perp to a local hospital.

A witness say the male was pacing on Northern Blvd from the local motel while waving a gun.

ESU is working on the scene.

Detectives are also working on the scene.

No injuries to police officers.

More details pending.

Ongoing investigation.

Update - The perp died at the hospital and police say the male, 79, still inconclusive on the investigation.
