Police reported over the weekend 26 drivers were targeted for attempted carjacking in northern Queens. This is on the Northern Blvd from Queensboro Bridge to the Nassau border. Thieves are targeting high end luxury vehicles and following the driver. Then jump into action once the drivers go inside streets that look deserted. The most incidents reported in Auburndale, Bayside, Douglaston and Little Neck. So far no drivers or passengers were injured but some did lose their vehicles. Police reported this is ongoing crime and drivers are advised to be cautious.
