Perp escape search in Bellerose

Around 3am, police were called to Bellerose reporting a robbery in action on Jericho Turnpike. Further investigation confirmed it was a burglary attempt. Soon the Nassau County Police found the suspect hiding and was apprehended. This is near Little Neck Parkway. While resisting arrest and assaulting the officers, the perp managed to get away. Soon the NYPD joined in and tracked down the suspect, male, black who was already in cuffs on one hand was last seen on Commonwealth Blvd and Jericho Turnpike.

Chopper and K-9 assisted with the search.

A witness stated the perp managed to get away to the Queens side inside the state's property at Creedmoor where he was last seen.

As of 7am, police lost contact with the perp and the search continues.

Police soures stated the perp was living at the local hotel under taxpayer's fund lavishly before the crime act.
