Pedestrian ramps adding on 83rd Avenue in Floral Park

NYC Dept of Transportation is adding pedestrian ramps on 83rd Avenue between Little Neck Parkway and 264 Street in Floral Park. The ramps will have the same level as the road for pedestrians for easy crossing. Currently, DOT addresses pedestrian ramps through the resurfacing of city streets, inspection of sidewalk defects, 311 complaints, and implementation of street improvement projects. DOT will continue with evaluations in the area for more ramps upgrade. The color of either yellow or red at the detects warning surface to help guide people who are blind or have low vision.
