Parking effect takes place with no blue meter sign in NYC

Starting today NYPD traffic agents will issue tickets to all locations zoned for hour by hour limited parking without time receipts. Many vehicle owners were surprised to receive $35 tickets on Union Turnpike between 270 To Commonwealth Blvd in Glen Oaks where 2 hour parking is allowed for 9am to 7pm before without metered time receipts. The same on inside streets of Glen Oaks where more than 100 tickets were issued. Also NYPD traffic agents are authorized to tow vehicles with no registration sticker display. NYPD Traffic Enforcement on the scene stated they can issue tickets for such meters for 2 hours without paying. They said the safe bet is to place timed receipts. However, its not fair for those who parks for less than an hour in non-metered zones.
