Operation Vape Out is in full force in Nassau County with two arrests

Major Case Bureau Detectives from the Narcotics Vice Squad report the arrest of two individuals on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in Nassau County.

According to Detectives, Operation ?Vape Out? was implemented on various establishments known to sell vaping products in Nassau County. As a result of the initiative, Detectives utilized underage agents (persons under the age of 21) to purchase age restricted products. As a result of the operation the following individuals were arrested for selling those restricted products and were issued Appearance Tickets.

Defendant Shaffan Rangoonwala, 19, of Valley Stream while employed as the manager of Zee Smoke Shop 2895 Long Beach Road Oceanside did sell a JUUL box with four mint pods to a person under the age of 21 years.

Defendant Tulsidas Patel Pareshkumar, 39, of Flushing while employed as the manager of the Lucky 7 Deli 276 Atlantic Avenue East Rockaway did sell a JUUL box with four mint pods to a person under the age of 21 years.

Both Defendants are charged with Town of Hempstead Violations for Sale of Age Restricted Products and are scheduled to appear on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in Second District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead. (From NCPD)
