Fresh Meadows father and son busted for extortion

Authorities arrested Michael Nadel and Yarin Nadel for allegedly using their moving company to extort customers for higher prices to return their belongings.

The Fresh Meadows father and son duo were under investigation between February 2018 and July 2019 after complaints were reported.

Over ten customers reported of unnecessary charges adding up to $100,000. If not paid, the clients personal belongings were not returned.

Their company, State to State also reported of threatening to sell customer's belongings in the market place or auctioned off if not paid. The prosecutor also reported once the customers belongings are in the moving van, more fees were demanded.

Many customers reported of their belongings damaged also.

According to one complaint, a customer was charged allegedly $10,000 instead of $5,200 for moving from New Hampshire to South Carolina. The customer paid but most of the items were missing.
