One new plus one new for NY and NYC

The NY Assembly members are proposing to raise the minimum wage to $21 from the current $15 due to inflation.

Another bill has been introduced in NYC that an employee must be given written notice within 14 days before terminating jobs. This is called the 'Secure Jobs Act' that would also make employers show proof of economic hardship before laying off workers in NYC. However, it doesn’t guarantee when an employer goes out of business or closes the location.
