One long night with crimes in Suffolk County

Yesterday evening started the first shooting in North Babylon where a domestic dispute turned into a male shooting. This is in the vicinity of Martha Court when cops were called to the scene around 5:30pm. Then around 1:30am, a drive-by shooting was reported in Shirley in the vicinity of Pinetree and Kent Drives.

ESU recovered shell casings and EMS transported the victims to local hospitals now in stable condition.

Around 1am, the SCPD reported a Manhattan male was taken into custody in Lindenhurst after a stabbing incident. Police say two off duty NYPD cops saw the suspect in front of a driveway in the vicinity of Buffalo Avenue. When approached, the suspect took off and a chase started. This is when one of the off duty cops was stabbed in the leg. Further investigation confirmed the suspect is charged with breaking into several vehicles in the area.

All the incidents remain under investigation.
