One dead from a vehicle accident in Uniondale

Last night around 2am, the NCPD reported a vehicle accident on Commercial Avenue near Nassau Community College. One dead from the result.

The medical examiner transported the body pending autopsy.

The vehicle struck a municipal truck according to police.

This is the second fatality in two weeks in Uniondale.

On February 24 around 5:15am, a vehicle accident resulted with one dead. This is at the intersection of Jerusalem Avenue and Liberty Street.

Ongoing investigation.
