One dead from a fire on LI and Queens reported two heavy fire locations

Last night around 7:30pm, FDNY reported a third alarm at the local scrapyard in Long Island City. By 11:30pm, the fire was brought under control. EMS reported no injuries.

Around 3:30am, this morning, the FDNY reported heavy fire at a home in Corona. This is on 95th Street at the location unit, 4138.

The fire started in the basement and extended to the first floor.

EMS transported the injured to local hospitals.

For Long Island, the SCPD reported a 4th alarm at a home in Bay Shore. The fire started around 1:30am on N Windsor Avenue with one dead and multiple injuries.

Firefighters reported the fire started at one home and then extended to two more homes.

EMS transported the injured to local hospitals.

The Red Cross moved the displaced residents to shelters.

The cause of all incidents are under investigation.
