One dead after motorcycle accident in Commack

Police were called to a crash on the Sunken Meadow State Parkway reporting one dead.

This is involving a motorcyclist. The incident was reported last night around 11:30pm in the Town of Smithtown.

This was a single motorcycle accident according to police.

The dead identified as Jaron Lowndes, 44 of Amityville.

Ongoing investigation.
