Of 112 Indian restaurants in NYC Usha Foods is not listed

On Tuesday, December 26, the NYC Dept of Mental Health and Hygiene reported Usha Foods, the Indian restaurant on Hillside Avenue and 256th Street in Floral Park is not listed in their grading system for the public. However, a staff with the agency stated any restaurants shut down or closed for violations are not listed but an official statement of violation in yellow color is posted in front of the eatery. The official notice is not displayed in front of Usha Foods. The staff didn't respond further. The issue started when a patron entered the restaurant last week and posted a dead rat found in the food case on social media which surprised many. A staff at Usha Food replied it was a revenge without additional details and denied all the allegations. NYC reported there are 112 eateries serving Indian food from the list with grades for the public.
