Night time delays for trains in Garden City

The NCPD were called to the Garden City LIRR station reporting a car was on the train tracks resulting in delays in both directions. The incident was reported around 8pm by Nassau Blvd in Nassau County. Shortly, power was shut down and ESU removed all involved from the vehicle.

EMS worked on the scene.

The MTA reported restoration is taking over night for morning commute and shuttle buses were in place earlier for continued commute.

The investigation is ongoing.
