New Hyde Park on track with new construction for train passing

LIRR confirmed of seven crossings under construction to be eliminated completely with new paths for both drivers and pedestrians including the one on New Hyde Park Road.

Officials reported that New Hyde Park Road is the busiest with vehicles passing the crossing and the most with drivers not obeying flashing signs to stop but proceed anyway.

The construction is on track and LIRR has a link with updates.
