Neighbors had enough of students housing in Fresh Meadows

On September 26 around 5am, four students attending St John's University were arrested for fights. Calls came in for burglary at 69-20 178 Street but further investigation reported it was a fight between two fraternity groups of St John's. More arrests are pending. This is not the first time police were called incidents involving St Johns students.

On September 8 around 5pm, 164 Street near Union Turnpike was filled with students blocking the road after neighbors complained of large party. Police were on the scene and advised the landlord to call 311 for noise disturbance. The campus security confirmed all incidents outside the university is a matter of local law enforcement and not responsibility of St. John's.
