Nassau County officer injured in a crash this morning

Around 11:30am this morning, the SCPD reported a Nassau County Patrol officer was injured during a crash involving a truck. This was in Lindenhurst, Suffolk County in the vicinity of North Wellwood Avenue and Jerome Street during a funeral procession.

EMS transported the officer to a local hospital in serious condition. Highway CIS continues to work on the scene conducting details. The NCPD also joined the scene.

The investigation continues.
