NYC welcomes Greta Thunberg

Congratulations to Greta Thunberg, all 16 years old arrived in Coney Island in 60 foot boat on a zero carbon emission yacht from Great Britain in 15 days. She arrived around 9am today and heading to North Cove Marina around 2:45pm after clearing customs and immigration. The climate activist arrived at the Coney Island dock to attend United Nations Summit on Climate Action on September 23. The boat named, Malizia II had no toilet or fridge and fitted with solar panels and hydro generators. The boat will brought back to Europe to advance more features in the future.
"During the past year, millions of young people have raised their voice to make world leaders wake up to the climate and ecological emergency," Thunberg said in a statement before starting her trip. "Over the next months, the events in New York and Santiago de Chile [the U.N. Climate Change Conference] will show if they listened."
