NYC removed the word alien from all legal documents

Starting today, after NYC Council voted, the word, alien will be removed from all documents pertain to local law and rules. The word alien will be replaced with non-citizen. The other word is illegal which is replaced with undocumented. NYC is the first to prohibit the word, alien due to its support of sanctuary city. Several sources at city council stated non-citizen like California will be in the process of getting reliefs due to COVID-19. That is under discussion.
