NYC Mayor going after private schools

The NYC Mayor has set the date as December 20 for the last day for all religious and private school workers to get the jab. The mandate will go to around 56,000 workers at 938 schools in NYC.

This includes Catholic, Yeshiva and all private schools.

The Mayor's Office didn't respond to the authority or penalty since not all private and religious schools are on the city or state fund list. The Mayor has more control for the city than the Governor since so far the latter has not opposed any decisions like the previous Governor Cuomo.
